Evangelism Conference

Under the Auspices of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, His Grace Bishop David, Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of New York & New England and the Holy Synod, delegate of the Evangelism Committee, hosted the 3rd Coptic Clergy Evangelism Conference for the Americas and Australia at Saint Mary’s Christian Center, in Staten Island, New York. Twenty-five priests & four consecrated deacons from the United States, Canada and Australia attended the three-day conference from Tuesday, June 13 to Thursday, June 15. The clergy participated in discussions affirming their Coptic Orthodox identity and discussed theological, pastoral and practical tools for evangelism.  

Fr Daniel, Dean of St Cyril’s, was blessed to share in the conference noting itt was an extremely fruitful conference where papers were presented on the theological underpinnings of local evangelism in the parish, challenges, and suggested ways forward. Fr Daniel presented a lecture on “Patristics Insights into Evangelism.”
