Michael Ibrahim

Michael Ibrahim was born in Cairo, and emigrated to Australia in 1982. He  studied variously in Physics and Engineering, and later completed his MA (Theology) at  St Andrew‘s Greek Orthodox Theological college. He has represented the Coptic Orthodox Church at the NSW Ecumenical council, and has an interest in Patristics and Theology, particularly as they pertain to inter-Orthodox relations. With his background in science and engineering, he also has a strong interest in the relationship between science and theology. He is the Director of Learning & Teaching at St Cyril’s, and currently studying towards a PhD at Macquarie University in Patristics (Chalcedonian and non-Chalcedonian Christologies).

RESEARCH & SUPERVISION INTERESTS:

Patristics, particularly 5th to 7th century, Non-Chalcedonian Christology, Oriental Orthodox Christianity, Science and Theology.
