Rev. Dr. Paul Fanous completed his undergraduate studies in Medicine from the University of Sydney and completed his fellowship as a General Practitioner, and worked as a family doctor for a number of years. Later he completed a Master of Theology from the University of Newcastle, with a special interest in Biblical Studies. In 2014, Fr Paul was ordained a parish priest and currently serves in St Abraam’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Sydney. In 2020, he completed his Doctorate of Ministry at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary with a thesis in Biblical Studies, specifically the New Testament as a model for ministry. Fr Paul is lecturer of Biblical Studies at St Cyril‘s, bringing the wealth and splendour of Orthodox biblical interpretation to the modern mind.
