Fr. Mark Basily completed his undergraduate studies in Computer Engineering and went on to pursue his career as a strategy consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM. During this time, he completed his Masters of Theology from the University of Newcastle. In 2012, Fr Mark was ordained a parish priest of St Mark‘s Coptic Orthodox Church in Sydney. In 2020, he completed his Doctorate of Ministry at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Fr Mark is lecturer of Pastoral Theology at St Cyril‘s where he enjoys bringing to life the study of ministry through his priestly pastoral experience.

RESEARCH & SUPERVISION INTERESTS:

Pastoral Theology, Homiletics, the art of spiritual direction.
