His Grace Bishop Kyrillos will be blessing us on February 12, 2019 for our Summer Lecture. It is open to the public, faculty, and students and will be held at our new campus in Carlton. Refreshments will follow the lecture and are included in the norminal $5 entry. Note: Tickets are limited, and admission is on a first in-first served basis. St Cyril’s Summer Lecture:
“The Life-Giving Blessing: St Cyril of Alexandria & the Liturgy of the Eucharist”
Biography:
His Grace Bishop Kyrillos (formerly Fr. John Paul Abdelsayed) is Dean of the St. Athanasius and St. Cyril Theological School at Claremont University. He is an auxiliary (general bishop) serving alongside His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion in Los Angeles. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from UCLA and a Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center. He also earned two Masters degrees in Theology from Holy Cross Orthodox School of Theology in Boston, and a Ph.D in History of Christianity from the University of Notre Dame, School of Theology, in Indiana.
