Summer Lecture – Bishop Kyrillos
His Grace Bishop Kyrillos blessed St Cyril’s Theological College, in Sydney, Australia, on February 12, 2019 for our Summer Lecture. The Lecture was on a beautiful theme: “St Cyril of Alexandria and the Liturgy of the Eucharist.”
The lecture was extremely well received and was well attended by esteemed members of the Sydney College of Divinity, St Cyril’s Faculty & Students, as well as members of the general public. The recording of the lecture is on youtube here: https://youtu.be/4zCQsv3dtl0.
His Grace Bishop Kyrillos (formerly Fr. John Paul Abdelsayed) is St. Athanasius & St. Cyril Theological School at Claremont University. He is an auxiliary (general bishop) serving alongside His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion in Los Angeles. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from UCLA and a Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center. He also earned two Masters degrees in Theology from Holy Cross Orthodox School of Theology in Boston, and a Ph.D in History of Christianity from the University of Notre Dame, School of Theology, in Indiana.
