St Cyril’s News: Summer Lecture and Highest Enrolments Yet

Last month, Archpriest Chad Hatfield, President of the internationally-renowned St Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary and one of the leading Orthodox experts on mission and evangelism, delivered the public Summer Lecture for 2020 at St Cyril’s main campus in Carlton. Fr Chad spoke on a crucial and pressing issue for Copts and all Orthodox in the English-speaking world: “Orthodox Mission in the Twenty-First Century West.” It was attended by a number of youth, servants and clergy from the Diocese of Sydney, as well as by numerous other guests. The lecture was related to the Summer Intensive course which Fr Chad delivered in the following weeks on Mission and Evangelism.

During the proceedings, Fr Chad also officially launched the book A Silent Patriarch by our Dean, Fr Daniel Fanous.

Fr Chad’s visit was a blessed beginning to St Cyril’s busiest semester yet, with the highest number of unique enrolments (over 110 students) since the College was founded in 1982.

Please keep the College and its students, staff and faculty in your prayers.
