Dr. Edith Humphrey
LECTURER IN BIBLICAL STUDIES
Dr. Edith Humphrey is the William F. Orr Professor Emerita of New Testament (Pittsburgh Theological Seminary). She was born in Canada and moved to Pittsburg with her husband in 2002, where she currently resides. Though retired, she continues to write and to teach in various milieux, including online at St. Cyril’s. For more than 25 years, Dr. Humphrey has held numerous lecturing positions throughout the United States and Canada, where she has taught on a range of Biblical topics. She especially enjoys her role of teaching her 23 grandchildren.
RESEARCH & SUPERVISION INTERESTS
Her academic interests include visionary biblical literature, C. S. Lewis, theological anthropology, and patristic reception of the Bible.
